Will contrast be used?+
CT coronary angiography normally requires iodinated contrast after appropriate clinical assessment.
Is a creatinine test required?+
Kidney-function testing may be required depending on age, history and clinical circumstances.
How should I prepare?+
Preparation is individual. The team may give fasting, medicine or heart-rate instructions after reviewing the request.
Is calcium scoring the same test?+
No. Calcium scoring and CT coronary angiography answer different clinical questions. Your clinician should specify the appropriate examination.
