Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before your scan.

Who needs CT angiography?+

Your clinician may request it to assess suspected vessel narrowing, aneurysms or clots, or to plan treatment. The type of CTA depends on the vessels being examined.

Is it the same as catheter angiography?+

No. CTA uses a CT scanner and usually a vein injection. Catheter angiography is a different procedure that can also allow treatment.

Do I need to fast or have a creatinine test?+

The team will confirm fasting instructions and whether a recent kidney-function test is needed before your contrast scan.

How long does it take?+

The images are acquired quickly, but preparation, contrast injection and observation take longer. Coronary CTA may need extra time for heart-rate preparation; confirm the visit length when booking.

When will my report be ready?+

Report time depends on the examination and clinical urgency. Call or WhatsApp the team for the expected time when booking.

Is it available at night?+

CT is available 24×7. Please call to confirm the appropriate team and preparation for your specific CTA, especially coronary studies.

Will contrast be used?+

CTA usually needs an iodinated contrast injection to show blood vessels. Tell the team about kidney problems and previous contrast reactions.

How much does it cost?+

Pricing depends on the study; call or WhatsApp us and we will confirm
