- Bring the dentist’s prescription and previous dental images
- No fasting is normally needed
- Remove earrings, glasses and removable dental appliances as instructed
- Follow positioning instructions and stay still during exposure

- OPG uses a low dose of X-rays
- It does not replace a dental examination or every type of dental image
- Let the team know if standing or remaining still is difficult

What is an OPG?+
It is a panoramic dental X-ray showing the upper and lower jaws and teeth in one image.
Why might my dentist request one?+
It can help assess wisdom teeth, tooth development and jaw problems, and support orthodontic or other dental planning.
How long does it take?+
The exposure is usually completed in seconds. Allow a few minutes for positioning, with additional time for registration and any waiting.
Can I walk in?+
Call or WhatsApp to confirm OPG walk-in timings before travelling. OPG availability is separate from our 24×7 general X-ray service.
Do I need to fast?+
No fasting is usually needed. You may be asked to remove jewellery and removable dental appliances.
Is it the same as a dental CT?+
No. OPG is a two-dimensional panoramic X-ray. Your dentist may request a different examination if three-dimensional detail is needed.
When will my report be ready?+
Report time depends on the examination and clinical urgency. Call or WhatsApp the team for the expected time when booking.
