Preparation

- A full bladder may be required for selected early scans
- Continue routine medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Confirm preparation and appointment timing before arrival

Does pregnancy ultrasound use radiation?+
No. Ultrasound uses sound waves rather than ionising radiation.
Do I need a full bladder?+
It may be required for some early-pregnancy examinations. The team will confirm when you book.
Is 3D or 4D always necessary?+
No. It is used when appropriate and does not replace the standard clinical examination.
Can fetal sex be disclosed?+
No. Fetal sex determination or disclosure is prohibited by law in India. Tesla Imaging follows PCPNDT requirements.
What records should I bring?+
Bring the prescription, previous ultrasound reports, relevant laboratory results and antenatal records.
What is the price?+
